Bulk Trash Removal

The contract with Allied Waste (formerly BFI) does not allow for bulk item trash pickup. This includes items such as couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs, etc. If you want to get rid a large item, you need to contact Allied Waste to arrange pickup. They will charge your credit card over the phone.

I am writing this note to let the other homeowners know that I believe we are being taken for extra money to get rid of bulk trash. I never heard of any company charging for bulk items. It was always allowed for 2 pieces of bulk items per household. BFI never charged us and now allied is charging us, even though we sre still under BFI.
I have been throwing stuff out and being charged for only some items. They do not keep track of what is being tossed. They seem to make up a price to charge for each item. If you tell them you are throwing out 2 things and put out several it all goes. I feel this should be fought to get rid of and reimbursed to the owners who used and wasted their money. please follow up and contact the community when this issue is resolved.

why don't houses have their numbers facing the correct street? This is very hard to find house if friends are visitng and to hand out mail if delievered to the wrong house.

Trash:
The Allied Waste service agent has repeated said that our contract does not include bulk items. We reviewed the contract and does not specifically include bulk items. If you have issues with Allied Waste then it is your responsibility to take care of it.

House Numbers:
House numbers are the responsibility of the individual home owners. If you receive incorrect mail, contact the Collegeville Post office.

Dog Waste:
Dog waste is a problem. If you know of people violating the rule then contact the board via letter or email (not in the comments of the website) stating the name of the person. We can only deal with the issue if it is brought to our attention.

Welcoming Committee and Board:
We do currently have a welcoming committee. Personal attacks are not acceptable on this website. Your comment will be deleted.
We currently have an open position on the board. If you would like to join, we would welcome it.
